The group started the evening with 90 women and quickly grew to 96!  We’re still aiming to reach 100+ Women Who Care.  It’s never too late to join.  If you’re interested you can find a form on this site or go to http://www.pcfoundation.org.

Putnam County has a bright future with the youth in our community!  We had a wonderful, top-notch event hosted by the Area 30 Culinary students mentored by Mary Anne Birt!  We were so impressed with their talent, skill and determination to serve this group and to do it with so much respect, detail and enthusiasm.   The students’ parents and teachers have so much to be proud of!  Thank You for all of your hard work to make this an experience none of the women will forget!

Follow the Signs…… to find your way…… to GIVING in May!

PhotoGrid_1430339056437Greetings 100 Women Who Care!

Our event this Wednesday, May 6th will be held at Area 30 Career Center!  Susan Price and Jackie Eitel have been so gracious as to sponsor this wonderful time together!  We are looking forward to hearing 3 more non-profit presentations!

Area 30 is just across the road from Wal-Mart!  Follow these signs to find your way!  We’ll meet on the second floor in the cafeteria.  You may use the stairs or the elevator to get to the cafeteria.

Also, remember to bring a friend!  If she joins 100 Women, then your name will go into the bowl for a chance at a $50 gift card from Starbucks!

We’ll hear from Judy Miller, on behalf of the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry.   From the past recipients, Beyond Homeless, Inc. and the Gobin Summer Enrichment Program are eligible for nominating.

Lastly, once our WINNER is announced, we’d like to get a picture with all of the members present with the LARGE check.  It’s hard to get together for a great photo, so we’ve decided to do the picture immediately following.

Can’t wait t see everyone there, to support our community as well as the youth culinary students at Area 30!

Is 100 Women Who Care for you?

100 Women Who Care is a group of women who care tremendously about the Putnam County community. The group comes together four times a year for a one-hour meeting plus time to socialize.  During this time each member writes a $100 check to a charity that the group selects. This combined donation of $10,000 makes a real impact. Our mission and our hope is to provide for those in great need in Putnam County. We hope you will join us at our next meeting to see how easy and fun it is!

100 Women Who Care is for you if:

  • You don’t have time in your busy life to volunteer but have been wanting to help those in need, and you can commit to one hour every three months.
  • You are involved with other groups but are interested in meeting other women philanthropists in our community.
  • You want 100% of your donations to go directly to a local charity.
  • You want your $100 donation to become a part of a larger amount of money by joining together with other women—creating a powerful impact in our local area.

To join 100 Women Who Care Putnam County, go to http://www.pcfoundation.org to retrieve a membership form and return it via mail, email, or bring it to the next meeting.  You must be at the meeting, and be a member, to put a name in the hat and speak about the organization.  If you cannot be in attendance at our May event, please send your check and proxy vote with another member.

Our next event is going to be held at Area 30 Career Center on Wednesday, May 6th from 5:00pm-7:00pm!  Thank you to our sponsors of the night, Jackie Eitel and Susan Price.  We thank you for your generosity!  We’d also like to thank Mary Birt and her students for taking this event on.  It will be a night to come together with the youth of Putnam County!

If you have questions, please contact one of the steering committee members:  Kelli Croan, Caitlyn Milliman, Suzanne Masten, Beva Miller, Emily Knuth, Kate Knaul, Cheryl Selvey, Susan Price, Elaine Peck and Julie Thompson.

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm in GIVING BACK to our home community!
It’s exciting to know many of you have rejoined for this next year, 2015.  It’s hard to believe that we’ve already gotten one event beyond us for this year!  Which makes a total of over $63,000.00 given in 2014-2015 so far!  That’s a HUGE impact made over 10 hours of your time and half of that was spent socializing and having fun with other women philanthropists of Putnam County!
We will be presenting The CASTLE program with OVER $8000!  What a great gift to give for expanding their program!  The checks will be presented TOMORROW evening at 5:00!  The women will meet at the Putnam County Community Foundation and hope the weather is better than today!  Please be careful in coming to the presentation!
We are looking forward to our NEXT event coming up on May 6th!!!!!!!!  We want to thank our sponsors for the May event, Jackie Eitel and Susan Price along with Mary Birt of Area 30!  I’m sure we’ll be blessed by meeting at Area 30 for this event!
Our plan is to get back over 100 Women Who Care and become 100+ AGAIN!  You can help make this happen by telling other women about what we’re doing for Putnam County and inviting them to be a part of this great group of women!  Share your personal story of why it’s important to you!  This is truly a matter of a group of women who share the same desire in giving generously from the  heart and making a lasting impact!  There is always room for one more,  REMEMBER it takes my $100, your $100 and her $100 to make this kind of difference!  If you missed out on rejoining, it’s not too late!  Above is a membership form for yourself or to pass on to another woman that’s looking for some way to simply give!  Imagine, if each of us found 1 women who would like to be a part of this great act of kindness……..……we could do even greater things!
Here is a link to our information:
As always, feedback is important to keeping a great thing going and I believe we have a great thing going.……………in fact the men have begun their Chapter and are striving to hit 100+ by their first event in March!  We wish them all the best in becoming Putnam County 100+ Men Who Care!
Finally, we’d like to thank the Putnam County Community Foundation for it’s daily efforts in the interests of Putnam County……the place we call HOME!  They do a great job managing many endowment funds, including 100 Women Who Care!   If you become interested in knowing more about Giving in other areas of Putnam County, Elaine Peck would make your visit with her worthwhile!  Go to www.pcfoundation.org for more information.
