Dear 100 Women Who Care of Putnam County,
Thanks again to Dana Cochran and Hendricks Power Cooperative for their support! Thanks to all of you who braved the construction and joined us! Thanks to those who sent their checks and their proxy voters — We know you were with us in spirit! And hope to see those of you who could not make it tonight at our November meeting.
It was an amazing night!
Member, Kara Jedele gave us an update on our February charity: PCYD — The Castle, and we had three great presentations:
- Friends of the Putnam County Public Library – Imagination Library – Presenter: Cathryn Ensley
- Putnam County Comprehensive Services – Special Olympics – Presenter: Von Braden
- Gobin Memorial UMC – Transformers Program – Presenter: Mariette Bargen
We had a vote and it was ALMOST a three way tie, but it was an actual TWO way tie between Special Olympics and Transformers!
Our rules say that in the case of a tie vote, we revote, and you must be present to re-vote. We had a revote between Special Olympics and Transformers.
IT WAS ANOTHER TIE!!!!
There were no rules for this situation, so we asked our women, and two options were identified:
- split the proceeds 50/50 or
- allow each woman to present again for one minute each and have another revote.
The women held their hands up and the majority chose to split the proceeds 50/50.
So – tonight — 100 Women Who Care of Putnam County made an impact on people being served by two local nonprofit organizations:
- Putnam County Comprehensive Services – Special Olympics – Presenter: Von Braden
- Gobin Memorial UMC – Transformers Program – Presenter: Mariette Bargen
